Skin Cancer Risk Factors

There are a number of risk factors associated with Skin Cancer but the disease can occur in almost anyone. If you feel your lifestyle or family history may put you at a greater risk for Skin Cancer, speak to your doctor.

• Family history
• Presence of moles (more than 25)
• Large moles (larger than a pencil eraser)
• Atypical or unusal looking moles
• Fair skin
• Light eyes or hair color
• A suppressed immune system
• Excessive sun exposure
• Tanning salon usage
• Sun sensitivity
